Hurricane season = beautiful swell


It's time to bust out my Fujinon XF 70-300 for some action-packed shots.


Yes! Finally, a swell with no wind.


In St. Martin, good surf weather without wind is a rare treat, so I jump at the chance to tag along with Hugo to the Crocs spot, eager to capture the essence of a surf session.


It's my first time shooting surf, so naturally, there's a bit of a learning curve. The settings aren't quite right, the autofocus is giving me grief, and I may have missed Andrew AKA Zanzan's first spray. But hey, I'm determined to make up for it in the shots to come.

After a nice lunch break to let the guys rest, it's off again for another session. The weather's still great, the waves are beautiful, there's a lot of spinning on the water and the level is really fun to watch!
